Step 1: Download Laravel

Let us begin the tutorial by installing a new laravel application. if you have already created the project, then skip following step.

composer create-project laravel/laravel example-app
Step 2: Configure Database Credentials

Open the .env file and add your database credentials such as database name, username equally important password:

DB_CONNECTION=mysql
DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
DB_PORT=3306
DB_DATABASE=db name
DB_USERNAME=db user name
DB_PASSWORD=db password
Step 3: Create Model & Migration File

Next step, we need to execute the following command on terminal to generate model, migration file using the following command:

php artisan make:model Product -m
database/migrations/create_products_table.php:
<?php

use Illuminate\Database\Migrations\Migration;
use Illuminate\Database\Schema\Blueprint;
use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Schema;

class CreateProductcTable extends Migration
{
    /**
     * Run the migrations.
     *
     * @return void
     */
    public function up()
    {
        Schema::create('products', function (Blueprint $table) {
            $table->id();
            $table->string('name')->nullable();
            $table->longText('description')->nullable();
            $table->float('amount')->nullable();
            $table->boolean('status')->default(0);
            $table->integer('stock')->default(0);
            $table->timestamps();
        });
    }

    /**
     * Reverse the migrations.
     *
     * @return void
     */
    public function down()
    {
        Schema::dropIfExists('products');
    }
}

Next, open command prompt and execute the following command to create the table into database:

php artisan migrate
app/Models/Product.php
<?php

namespace App\Models;

use Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Factories\HasFactory;
use Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Model;

class Product extends Model
{
    use HasFactory;

    /**
     * The attributes that are mass assignable.
     *
     * @var array
     */
    protected $fillable = [
        'name', 'amount', 'description', 'status', 'stock'
    ];
}
Step 4: Install Livewire Package

Use the composer command to install livewire library in laravel app:

<?php

namespace App\Http\Livewire;
